Midnight Run Part Deux

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Chickpea has been getting out of bed in the middle of the night to come and join us in our king size bed. She's been really good about not getting up for the past week or so until last night, where she and I had a good old time.

Paypay went to the Seahawks game and I wasn't expecting him until later so after putting Chickpea to bed I read in bed for awhile. I turned the lights out and fell asleep until a little hand was on my face followed by a "hi mommy" and finally my girl snuggled up close to me. I let her stay in bed with me for about 15 minutes then I tucked her back into hers. A few minutes later Chickpea showed up in the doorway and I scooted her back into her bed again. This went on for quite sometime until I thought she was asleep for real. I came back downstairs, let Momo out, took a glass of water and went back to bed to find her hiding under the pillows. Now it was a game to her and I was getting really tired because it was now past midnight! I put her to bed one last time and I sat in the stairs and each time I saw her in her doorway I said "back to bed" and she would go running back to bed. After a few attempts she stayed in bed and Paypay arrived a few minutes after all the fun was done and I could hear her snoring peacefully.

J'ai mentione il y a quelques temps, Chickpea se reveille dans la nuit pour venir nous rejoindre dans notre grand lit. Depuis la derniere semaine elle ne s'est pas trop levee jusqu'a hier soir ou elle et moi avions eu du fun.

Paypay est alle a la game des Seahawks et je l'attendais tard donc apres avoir couche Chickpea j'ai lu un peu. J'ai ferme la lumiere et je me suis endormie jusqu'a une petite main se colle sur mon visage suivi d'un "allo maman" et finalement ma fille serree aupres de moi. Je l'ai laisse la pour environ 15 minutes et ensuite je suis allee la coucher dans son lit. Quelques minutes plus tard Chickpea etait dans la porte de ma chambre et je l'ai remonte dans son lit et j'ai reste la jusqu'a elle dorment. Je suis descendue en bas, sorti Momo, bu un verre d'eau et suis allee me recoucher pour trouver ma puce cache sous les oreilleres. La c'etait un jeu pour elle et je me fatigais de plus en plus car il etait depasse minuit! Je l'ai couchee encore une fois mais la j'ai reste dans les marches et a chaque fois que je la voyait je lui disait "au lit" et elle retournait en courant dans son lit. Apres quelques essais elle est reste au lit et Paypay est arrive apres que tout le fun etait fini et je l'entendais dormir paisiblement.
