Our plane took off from a warm and sunny Seattle to land in a cold and rainy San Diego.... oh the irony!! Didn't matter, we spent our first afternoon with In-and-Out burgers (yummy!), nap for Chickpea, running a few errands to buy the stuff you can't take on the plane, dinner with lots of laughing then some time in the hot tub.
Saturday morning we're up early and after breakfast we're off to Sea World. We caught Shamu's first show and had front row seats, in the non-splash zone, and Chickpea had a great time. She oohhed and aahhed at everything so did I but that's our little secret.
We wandered around Sea World, feed some dolphins, saw some sea turtles, ducks, flamingos, parrots, penguins, sharks, the pet show and etc... Chickpea sat in her stroller just to eat/drink and the remainder of the time she walked with us while holding our hands. She had a fun time in the kid’s zone where we could let her run and bounce around.
On our way out Paypay tried his luck to win a prize for Chickpea, of course he won on his first attempt and got a huge clown fish for his girl which we named Nemo (what else?).
We headed to the Fish Market in Seaport Village for dinner and were lucky to get the last window seat. For those saying Kathou and fish don’t match…. I ate a very yummy halibut.
We had a couple of hours to spare before Chickpea’s bedtime so I suggested we could do a little shopping… he he!

Nous sommes de retour après avoir passé 4 jours chez grand-maman dans la californie du sud. J’en ai trop a vous rancontre donc je vais ecrire en deux parties.
Notre avion a decolle d’un Seattle chaud et ensoleille pour atterir dans un San Diego froid et pluvieux… quelle chance! Pas grave, car on a passé notre premiere après-midi avec un diner de In-and-Out hamburgers (yum), une sieste pour Chickpea, a faire les achats des choses qu’on ne peut apporter dans l’avion, un souper en riant ensuite du temps dans le sauna.
Samedi matin nous nous sommes leves tot et après dejeuner nous sommes partis pour Sea World. Nous avons vu le premier spectacle de Shamu et nous etions assis dans la premiere rangee, hors du zone de splash, et Chickpea s’est bien amuse. Elle etait emerveille de tout ce qui se passait moi aussi mais ca c’est notre petit secret.
Nous nous sommes promenes autour de Sea World, avons nourri des dauphins, vu des tortues de mer, canards, flamands, parroquets, penguins, requins, le spectacle des animaux et etc… Chickpea s’est assise dans sa poussette seulement pour manger/boire et le restant du temps elle a marche a cote de nous en nous tenant la main. Elle s’est bien amuse dans la zone des jeunes ou elle pouvait courir et sauter tant qu’elle voulait.
Sur notre depart Paypay a tente sa chance pour gagner un prix, c’est sure qu’il a gagne sur son premier essai et a eu un gros poisson pour sa fille que nous avons nomme Nemo (quoi d’autre?).
Pour diner, nous sommes alles au resto Fish Market dans Seaport Village et etions chanceux d’avoir eu la derniere table au bord de la fenetre. Pour ceux qui se disent Kathou et poisson ne vont pas ensemble… j’ai mange un tres bon halibut.
Nous avions quelques heures avant que Chickpea se couche pour la nuit et j’ai suggere qu’on pouvait aller magasiner… he he!
Demain je vais publier la deuxieme partie de notre fin de semaine.
